Self-sufficient operation
of vehicle displays
Our Video Converter Serializers were developed to enable the autonomous operation of automotive video displays for development and testing. This means that a head unit/ECU is not required for commissioning. True plug and play within a few minutes.
TZ Video Converter Serializers are series-produced for the generally used GMSL and FPD-LINK technology standards and are available with a variety of connectors such as FAKRA or Rosenberger HSD.
We will be pleased to realize other technologies and connectors individually for you on request.
We can also preconfigure the individual application on the software side for each device, whereby up to 100 different configurations can be stored in the device.

Functions
Depending on the equipment, you can do much more with our video converters than just transfer video signals to vehicle displays. We also offer devices that are able to emulate CAN signals and map additional functions such as touch operation.
Settings Selector
All our video converter serializers allow different configurations for various displays to be switched between via rotary switch. Up to 100 customer-specific configurations can be stored – this saves valuable time and cuts costs.
Remote Control
Remote switching of the settings is also possible via the USB port, e.g. for automated end-of-line tests with different displays in the network.
Control Channel Master
Registry entries can also be read and set during operation via the built-in USB Control Channel Master. As a result, no additional tools are required for this task.

Status LEDs
Status LEDs for the most important functions indicate the respective operating status and allow quick identification of possible error sources.
2:1 Switch
Some of our devices have a built-in 2:1 switch. These enable you, e.g. during trial runs, to switch back and forth between the signals of the head unit/ECU installed in the vehicle and an additionally connected PC at the push of a button (more about this here). We offer external switches from 2:1 to 20:1 as an alternative.
Touch Function
More and more vehicle displays feature touch operation. All touch functions are fully usable with our appropriately equipped devices.
CAN Signal Emulator
A display needs the CAN data as well as the video data to enable it to function. As an option, we also offer video converters that simultaneously emulate the CAN signals required for test operation, thereby enabling completely autonomous operation of the display.
Extensive Interfaces
Additional external sockets can be used to connect further tools and test devices, e.g. to test the touch functionality of a display.

Scope of Supply
All our test devices are supplied pre-configured and ready for use including all components necessary for operation, such as power supply, cables and plugs, etc.
