The Coupler is used to decouple video data in an Automotive Video Link (AVL) connection between a camera and an ECU, an ECU and a display or between 2 ECUs. It uses the TZ.Coupling method, which directionally decouples the video data without deserializing the main link. The decoupled data path can be connected to other TZ devices, such as Video Converter, Frame Grabber or Signal Processing Units that support the required coupler mode for futher processing of the video data. Not suitable for components that are powered via the AVL. The coupler can output 2 actively amplified video signals in parallel to other TZ devices (video converter, frame grabber or signal processing unit).

TZ recommendation: TZ strongly recommends not using the active coupler until TZ has qualified its use in the customer application. Product status: NRFND (Not recommended for new designs)
