The quality of video transmission in high-speed automotive networks is essential for modern driver assistance systems and automated driving. The presentation “From Theory to Practice: Failure Analysis and Quality Assessment of Automotive Video Connections” highlights practical methods for evaluating and analyzing video connections using the example of OpenGMSL technology. The focus is on the physical fundamentals of signal transmission, real-world factors that influence link quality, and specific measurement methods for fault diagnosis. In addition, the importance of appropriate measurement methods in the context of standardization is discussed.
